You must ensure that you can see the door from where you are positioned so as to be able to fully relax.

- Positioning and appearance of the bed
Using the Feng Shui principle of commanding position, your bed should be positioned centrally by the wall, with a view of the door but not in direct line with it.
Another important thing to consider in Feng Shui is the headboard which symbolizes support. It’s better to go with a wooden headboard because it’s sturdy while also giving off a soothing vibe, unlike an iron headboard. As well ensure the headboard rests against the wall.
If you really must have a mirror in your bedroom, avoid positioning it in such a position that you can see yourself through it from your bed. Placing a mirror in front of the bed can be distracting when you’re attempting to sleep.
The mirror should not be placed facing the door, rather could be placed facing the window or in the closet. Mirrors, according to Feng Shui principles, have too much qi (energy) for a room.
- Remove all unnecessary electronic devices from the room.

Plants provide life to a space, but there are debates over having them in the bedroom based on Feng Shui principles because it is said to have too much yang. The amount of energy released by plants is excessive. If you like plants, choose one that goes well with the lighting in the room.
- Keep your bedroom free of clutter
Cluttering beneath one’s bed is a frequent practice among many people, although it is incorrect. Sort through your belongings in your room, toss out the unnecessary goods, and store essential items that aren’t needed in the room in the store.
A cluttered room will disrupt your sleep cycle as well as the free flow of beneficial qi in the space. If you do need to store something under the bed or in another part of the room, place it strategically.
